Description: Each year Business First honors 40 highly successful business people in Columbus. This year Johnny Dawson, Financial Adviser with Edward Jones and member of the Columbus Chapter of AmSpirit, is among the 40 Under 40 honored in the May 26 edition.
Born in Circleville, Johnny joined the Marines and served in Iraq. At 19 he led a team into combat and was subsequently promoted to Lance Corporal and later Corporal.
Following his service with the Marines, Johnny had the opportunity to join the FBI but instead chose to become a Financial Adviser after majoring in Criminology at The Ohio State University.
In addition to his thriving practice, Johnny and his wife recently opened the Tree of Life Play & Cafe in Hilliard, OH, with the mission of providing space for the community to gather and connect while little ones explore the innovative play area.
Johnny is actively involved with the USO of Central & Southern Ohio, the Hilliard Ray/Patch YMCA, Hilliard Rotary Club, and Hilliard Alliance.
